Age Group (IPEDS)

IPEDS Age Group is used in IPEDS reporting. Prior to summer 2017, age for IPEDS reporting was determined by subtracting the student's year of birth from the current IPEDS reporting year. Beginning in summer 2017 and in accordance with IPEDS guidelines, age is calculated to the day by subtracting the student's birth date from October 15 of the year of IPEDS reporting.

Age as calculated for IPEDS reporting is grouped in the brackets listed below.
