Navigating the QuickSight Interface
Access the QuickSight navigation interface by clicking on the QuickSight logo in the header at the upper left.
This will bring up the QuickSight navigation menu on the left.
Searching
From the QuickSight navigation interface, you can find dashboards using the Find analyses & more search text box in the upper left navigation area of the QuickSight navigation interface.
Type keywords into the search box (note: search will only pick up words in a dashboard title).
Search results appear to the right of the navigation area.
Favorites
Dashboards that you have added to your favorites can be found under Favorites in the upper left navigation area of the QuickSight navigation interface.

Favorites will appear to the right of the navigation area. These can be viewed with either:
- Tile view, which provides a thumbnail tiles for each favorited dashboard
- List view, which provides a list of dashboards
To switch between Tile view and List view, use the icons located in the upper right corner.

Recent
Dashboards that you have most recently visited can be found under Recent in the upper left navigation area of the QuickSight navigation interface.
Recently visited dashboards will appear to the right of the navigation area. These can be viewed with either:
- Tile view, which provides a thumbnail tiles for each dashboard
- List view, which provides a list of dashboards

Dashboards will be organized by topical area in the Shared folders navigation.
Folders will appear to the right of the QuickSight navigation. For example, see the Overview Dashboards folder hierarchy.
Breadcrumb links are available at the top of Shared folders to navigate back through the folder organizational hierarchy.
Dashboards
Dashboards can also be found under Dashboards in the upper left navigation area of the QuickSight navigation interface.
Dashboards will appear to the right of the QuickSight navigation. These can be viewed with either:
- Tile view, which provides a thumbnail tile for each dashboard
- List view, which provides a list of dashboards
Tile view:
In Tile view, access the dropdown in the upper right corner to change the dashboard sort order.
List view:
In List view, change the dashboard sort order using the column headers.
Dashboards in QuickSight may have multiple pages or tabs available.
Navigate between the dashboard pages by clicking the tab titles in the upper left corner of the dashboard below the Undo, Redo, and Refresh buttons.
Signing Out of QuickSight
In the upper right hand corner of the QuickSight header bar, open the user menu and then click Sign out.
