Academic Plan Owner refers to the owner of an academic plan; at CSUMB, individual colleges are usually academic plan owners. Academic Plan Owners may offer course work in different academic careers and academic programs and may have different academic plans associated with each academic career / academic program.

Examples
At CSUMB, the "College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences" is the Academic Plan Owner of the "Psychology" academic plan, which offers coursework in potentially both the "undergraduate" and "postbaccaulareate" (in the case of second baccalaureate degrees) academic careers and both the "Undergraduate Baccalaureate" and "Postbac Second Baccalaureate" academic programs.
