Approved Timeblock represents the time span for class meetings within Cal State Monterey Bay's Approved Class Meeting Times and Scheduling Guidelines of Classes.[1]
The approved timeblocks differ depending on the standard meeting pattern and the number of meeting hours per week.

Business Rules
- Classes should be distributed evenly throughout all the days of the week and throughout the listed times, in order to maximize campus space utilization and class offerings.
- Labs should be scheduled to start on the hour.
- Classes should not use non-standard time-blocks unless approved by their College Dean. Dean’s approval is required to use Monday College Hours.
- One day per week classes should be scheduled with matching pairs MW or TR (i.e., a Monday 4:00 PM - 6:50 PM course should be complemented by a Wednesday 4:00 PM - 6:50 PM course).
- For class sessions lasting longer than 75 minutes, break time has been included in the class time block to be used at the faculty's discretion.
