Approved Timeblock Fit Type

Approved Timeblock Fit Type indicates whether or not a class meeting falls within Cal State Monterey Bay's approved timeblock and how the class aligns with the approved standard meeting patterns and time spans if it does not fit the approved timeblock.[1]

Fit Type Criteria for Fit Type Determination
Match
  • Matches an approved pattern (eg. TR, MWF etc.);
  • Meeting Hours matches the designated approved block;
  • Starts exactly at an approved starting time.
Non-Standard Pattern
  • Does not match any approved pattern (eg. M-W, ARR etc.)
Partial
  • Not in the set of records designated Fit Type "Match";
  • Matches an approved pattern (eg. TR, MWF etc.);
  • Meeting Hours is the same or less than a standard block;
  • Scheduled Start time is the same or later than the approved start time AND the scheduled End time is less than or equal to the approved end time;
  • Summary: Scheduled meeting fits within a block but is shorter than the approved block length and may not match aprroved start/end times.
Non-Compliant (1)
  • Not in any of the above Fit Type sets;
  • Matches an approved pattern (eg. TR, MWF etc.);
  • Scheduled start time is within one of the approved blocks (any length);
  • Scheduled end time is within a different approved block (also any length).
Non-Compliant (2)
  • Not in any of the above Fit Type sets, including Non-Compliant (1).
