Courses can be tagged and belong to multiple Course Attributes. Classes inherit Course Attributes from the Course Catalog.

Courses Attributes must have at least one Course Attribute Value, but can have multiple Course Attribute Values. For example, we categorize classes by the Course Level (Course Attribute) and the categories we assign to them are "Upper Division", "Lower Division", etc. (Course Attribute Values). An example with multiple values is the "General Education Requirement" Course Attribute, which has various Course Attribute Values assigned that specify the type of General Education Requirement the course fulfills (e.g. "A1 Oral Communication", "B2 Life Science", etc.)

Example of multiple Attributes and Attribute Values associated with HCOM 243 in Fall 2022. Course Attribute: Course Level; Course Attribute Value: Lower Division Course Attribute: Service Learning; Course Attribute Value: Not a Service Learning Course Course Attribute: General Education Requirement; Course Attribute Value: F Ethnic Studies Course Attribute: University Requirement; Course Attribute Value: ES Ethnic Studies Course Attribute: University Requirement; Course Attribute Value: US1 U.S. Histories
