Course Attribute Value Description

From CSUMB Data Glossary
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Course Attribute Value is the specific category of the Course Attribute by which it was categorized. For example, we categorize classes by the Course Level (Course Attribute) and the categories we assign to them are "Upper Division", "Lower Division", etc. (Course Attribute Values). Course Attribute Value filters on dashboards enable selection of all of the courses that have a specified attribute value.

"Use course attributes for institutional research purposes and to print repetitive text in the schedule of classes or course catalog, such as Offered in Fall Only. Course attributes are attached to courses on the Catalog Data page and to classes on the Basic Data page. Unlike requirement designations, course attributes do not transfer to PeopleSoft Academic Advisement."[1]
