DFW is an acronym used when grouping together either counts or percentages of students that received grades of D+, D, D-, F, I, IC (Incomplete Charged), NC, W (Withdrawal), or WU (Withdrawal Unauthorized) for a given class.
The CSU identifies classes in which a high percentage of students receive DFW as an equity priority.
