The SAT is a standardized external exam (formerly known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, the Scholastic Achievement Test, and the SAT Reasoning Test) of mathematical, verbal, and analytical skills taken by high school students to demonstrate their abilities for post-secondary study. This is often required for admission to college undergraduate programs.
