Academic Load

Academic Load classifies students based on their attempted unit load for a particular term. "Full time" is assigned to undergraduate students with 12+ units attempted and graduate students with 8+ units attempted. "Three-quarter time" is assigned to undergraduate students with 9-11.99 units attempted and graduate students with 6-7.99 units attempted. "Half-Time" is assigned to undergraduate students with 6-8.99 units attempted and graduate students with 4-5.99 units attempted. "Less than half time" is assigned to undergraduate students with less than 6 units attempted and graduate students with less than 4 units attempted. "No Unit Load" is assigned to students with no units attempted for a particular term.

"For the purposes of financial aid reporting:

Enrollment status for Undergraduate and Credential-seeking students is defined as: Full time ~ 12 or more units; Three-quarter time ~ 9 to 11 units; Half time ~ 6 to 8 units; Less than half time ~ 1 to 5 units

Enrollment status for Graduate students is defined as: Full time ~ 8 or more units; Three-quarter time ~ 6 to 7 units; Half time ~ 4 to 5 units; Less than half time ~ 1 to 3 units."[1]
