Course FTES (Full Time Equivalents) represents instructional activity. Course FTES are calculated based upon units enrolled and academic program. For graduate students, Course FTES are calculated as: (total units enrolled / 12). For everyone else, Course FTES are calculated as: (total units enrolled / 15).

Course FTES on the Courses and Provost Fast Facts dashboards differ from student FTEs reported in the Academic Planning Database (APDB) dashboard as the Courses and Provost Fast Facts dashboards Course FTES are derived from units enrolled in both state-supported and self-supported sessions, while the APDB dashboard is derived from units enrolled in state-supported sessions only.
