Course FTES (Full Time Equivalents) represents instructional activity enrolled in. Course FTES are calculated based upon units enrolled and academic program.
- For graduate students, Course FTES are calculated as: (total units enrolled / 12).
- For everyone else, Course FTES are calculated as: (total units enrolled / 15).

Course FTES on the Courses and Pre-Census Snapshots dashboards differ from student FTEs reported in the Academic Planning Database (APDB) dashboard as the Courses and Pre-Census Snapshots dashboards Course FTES are derived from units enrolled in both state-supported and self-supported sessions, while the APDB dashboard is derived from units enrolled in state-supported sessions only.
